Rohula Bilankulu

Director

Rohula Bilankulu is a litigator who was introduced to the law by competing and winning the National Schools Moot Court Competition which took place in the Constitutional Court in 2012 at the mere age of 14. Having completed her articles at Clyde and Co and subsequently leading a litigation portfolio at Kern Armstrong and Associates for three years between 2023 and 2025, she currently sits as Legal Advisor at one of South Africa's public Universities where she advises the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor and the Executive Management Committee on the legal aspects of institutional Governance.

In her current role, Rohula oversees litigation matters on behalf of the University, defends all urgent applications before the High Court and institutes appeals on disciplinary hearing on behalf of the University, vetting of contractual agreements and offer legal opinions on the legal management of the institution to ensure compliance with legal and public governance requirements. She also runs an advocacy program on sexual violence and sexual offences on campus.

Rohula holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and an Advanced Certificate in Labour Law from the University of Pretoria. She is currently enrolled for her LLM with an interdisciplinary focus on Public Governance, Sexual Violence, and Sexual offences on campuses in institutions of Higher Learning.

As the director of Bilankulu Rohula Attorneys, Rohula's goal is to offer efficient and affordable legal services across South Africa.
